iCoachKids Plus

Digital Coach Education to Enhance Participation, Retention and Development in Youth Sport

The iCK+ project is a continuation of the very successful original iCK (for kids 5-12), which was connected to FIBA Europe's and the global Mini-Basketball movement and will develop a bespoke coaching program for the age groups 14-18. The academic research, which will be led by the Leeds Beckett University and other partners, will identify the main reasons for drop-out in youth, and the training and competition environments.

Leading partner: Leeds Beckett University (UK)

Partners: International Council for Coaching Excellence (UK), Sport Ireland Coaching, Netherlands Olympic Committee, Universidad Europea de Madrid, Royal Belgian Football Association, FIBA Europe, Magyar Edzok Tarsasaga (Hungarian Coaching Association), Deutsche Sportjugend (DOSB; German Youth Sport)
