FIBA Foundation announces a Call For Projects

MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Foundation has launched a Call For Projects for the beginning of 2022. The Foundation wishes to grow the Basketball For Good family and partners that use basketball as a tool for positive change. Application can be made through the Foundation website.

Organizations, Youth Leaders, National Federations, Mini Basketball delegates and other individuals that have an established program and who wish to grow the impact of their projects, can apply for support.

The programs must target youths of both genders in disadvantaged communities. While basketball must be at the forefront, there must be a visible Basketball For Good component, using basketball to address one or several of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The call for projects is open from January 2022 to March 2022. Applications must be made exclusively online before March 31, 2022 at 12 p.m.

All applications will be reviewed by the Foundation Basketball For Good Advisory Committee and the Foundation Board. Responses will be given within the year.

Projects can be supported through various means such as mentoring, basketball equipment or financial support.

Each chosen project will receive substantial exposure with articles published on fiba.basketball as well as through the Foundation’s social media accounts.

Please apply here. Any questions can be sent to bbfg@fiba.basketball.
