The FIBA Open 2024 – The 10th Edition

This year marks the 10th edition of the FIBA Open - celebrating a decade of inclusive basketball, community spirit, and unforgettable memories.

The biggest 3x3 tournament in Switzerland, which gathered over 1,100 players and 4,000 visitors in 2023, will take place on 15 and 16 June 2024 at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland.

Established in 2015, the FIBA Open was designed to open the doors of the FIBA World Headquarters to the surrounding communities and to create an event inclusive to all, allowing athletes of all ages and capabilities to play basketball in a safe and friendly environment.

Hundreds of people from the nearby French and Swiss regions come together at the House of Basketball to dive into the world of 3x3 and visit the exhibition space retracing the history of Basketball and FIBA.

The Organizing Committee, with over 100 volunteers, works relentlessly for this event to meet the promises of a celebration where visitors and players can come together in a relaxed family atmosphere.

Despite its success and image as an event not to be missed, the FIBA Open is first and foremost a fundraising event. All proceeds collected during the tournaments are donated to the FIBA Foundation’s Basketball For Good projects.

In 2024, the funds collected will be donated to the Basketball Artists School, a Namibian social project supported by the FIBA Foundation.
How to get there? The House of Basketball is located in Mies, Switzerland (Route Suisse 5, 1295 Mies) by Lake Geneva. Public Transport: Mies train station is 300 m away from the House of Basketball. By car: either by the « Route du Lac » approximately 20 minutes from downtown Geneva, or by the Geneva-Lausanne highway, Coppet exit.
