MIAMI (United States) - The Ecuadorian Basketball Federation is carrying out a FIBA ​​Youth Development Program (YDP) camp in the city of Guayaquil. The camp was split between the 2004, 2005 and 2006 categories for both boys and girls.

The activities, which will take place through Saturday at the Voltaire Paladines Polo Coliseum, are led by coaches Donald Showalter and Richard Vanderloo, from USA Basketball, who are devoted to sharing their skills and knowledge with all the young athletes.

The camp is strictly following FIBA COVID protocols to ensure the safety of players and all other participants. 

The program is structured under three fundamental pillars, which are: increasing young athletes' access to basketball, providing more opportunities for boys and girls to develop their game, and creating a platform for elite youth players in the Americas region.

The FIBA ​​Youth Development Program was created in 2018 and is one of the most important FIBA ​​projects in the Americas region.
