BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office - Asia in coordination with Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia (PERBASI) successfully organized a World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) Level 1 coaching course in Surabaya.
The six day program (1-6 October) aimed to extend and improve the coaching pool in Indonesia and was conducted by WABC instructor, Mr.Milan Kotarac.
President of PERBASI, Mr. Danny Kosasih said : "We are glad that Indonesia was able to host the course in Surabaya. Indonesia will continue this WABC program to level 2 and level 3 in the near future. Hopefully, we can arrange another level 1 course next year because there's a lot of excitement from the coaches. For the participants, hopefully this course refreshes their minds and that they get a lot of knowledge and hopefully everyone passes so they can continue to level 2."
"I was really glad I could join the course," said course participant, Jamin Mattotoran. "It was really helpful and also gave us a lot of options about drills on the court. This also allowed us coaches to be interactive with one another."
