ULAANBAATAR (Mongolia) - Top Mongolian teams filling up a loaded draw full of Asian powerhouses will be aiming for glory at the FIBA 3x3 Ulaanbaatar Super Quest 2024 on April 20-21.

Let's preview the action. 

The Favorites

The draw is expectedly stacked with top Mongolian teams ready to put on a show for their crazy passionate fans. 

And their absolute best players are set to shine for Sansar (MGL), who boast the country's superstar Anand Ariunbold. 'The Archer' was on target during an epic FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2024, where he willed an inexperienced Mongolia to the bronze medal. 

He won't have to do all the heavy lifting because teammates Delgernyam Davaasambuu, Dulguun Enkhbat and Enkhbaatar Onolbaatar are Mongolian legends in their own right. 

Ulaanbaatar (MGL) appear their main rival because they'll have snipers Steve Sir and Marko Dugosija firing bullets from downtown. 

The Mongolian teams won't have it all their own way with Saitama (JPN) determined to silence the loud home fans. They'll need OG entertainer Tomoya Ochiai to tap into his deep bag of tricks, as the Japanese team look to make a statement. 

Utsunomiya (JPN) also appear a legit contender because they have speedy Yosuke Saito, who can get to the rack faster than you can say konnichiwa. 

The Field

There are four other Mongolian teams in the 12-team draw, including  Zavkhan (MGL). We've seen glimpses of their best over the years and they are capable of making a giant-killing run if Tserenbaatar Enkhtaivan gets hot like we've seen on the pro circuit over the years. 

Tsetsen Mig (MGL) will also have big dreams, especially powerfully built Altangerel Batsaikhan who loves nothing more than playing bully ball.

Yokohama (JPN) can splash from anywhere on the half-court, while Sagamihara (JPN) round out the Japanese teams with sharpshooter Lazar Popovic capable of going toe-to-toe with anyone over 10 minutes. 

Sejong (KOR) and Taipei FuorPath (TPE), who boast the dynamic duo of Bradley Barth and Austin Derrick, can't be discounted as they look to steal the show in Ulaanbaatar - a famous 3x3 location. 

What's at stake

The top 2 teams will qualify for the Ulaanbaatar Masters on June 8-9 as part of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.
