BAMAKO (Tournoi International Salamatou Maiga 3x3 U18) – Mali will look forward to retaining the trophies in the men and women categories at the third edition of the Tournoi International Salamatou Maiga 3x3 U18.

Mali’s Men team will face off against Nigeria, DR Congo, Niger in what promises to be an exciting tournament, while the women team will do battle against Rwanda, DR Congo, Nigeria and Niger.

The Aiglonnes established themselves in the final last year against Nigeria (9-7) and boys achieved the same feat by coming out of an excellent team of Nigeria (21-17).

The tournament gets to a sparkling start with second place winners from the last edition Nigeria taking on Niger.

Later, it will be Niger taking up host Mali and DR Congo facing Nigeria in the men’s category.

Women’s defending champions Mali will begin their campaign to remain the best 3x3 team in Africa when they face Rwanda on Day 1 while Nigeria battles DR Congo and Niger.

In the men’s category Niger opens hostilities against Nigeria, before taking on Mali later in the day. The last game of Day 2 is a grudge encounter that pitches the finalists of the 2017 as Nigeria seeks revenge against host Mali.

Day 3 of the competition will witness the Semi-Finals, Third-place and final matches.
