FIBA and Wanda Group celebrate partnership

SHANGHAI - FIBA and the Wanda Group, a global FIBA Partner, availed of Tuesday's logo launch ceremony for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 in Shanghai as an opportunity to celebrate their partnership.

FIBA Secretary General and International Olympic Committee (IOC) Member Patrick Baumann met with Wanda representatives led by Wanda Culture Group President Lincoln Zhang at the Wanda Reign on the Bund hotel, a hotel operated by Wanda, prior to the logo's unveiling.

Through the partnership, which runs until the end of 2019, the Wanda Group supports the promotion of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 through its vast network to bring the world's best international basketball event to the basketball fans in China. The agreement gives the Wanda Group the rights to all FIBA national team competitions.

Wanda is a FIBA Partner across a wide range of categories including real estate development, shopping malls, hotels, travel agencies, movie theatres, movie and film production and film studies and amusement and theme parks.

It has sponsorship rights for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 and its Qualifiers, the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018, the FIBA Continental Cups for Men and Women, the FIBA U17 and U19 Basketball World Cups and all other events serving to qualify teams for the aforementioned competitions.
