EuroCup Women Round of 16 pairings confirmed
MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - The EuroCup Women Regular Season came to a conclusion on Thursday evening, with the Round of 16 pairings confirmed.
Coming into the final night of the Regular Season, three groups - B, C and D - still needed to be decided. Group B held the most intrigue, with a three-way tie still a strong possibility. In the end it was TTT Riga and Orduspor advancing at the expense of Dynamo Moscow, despite the latter holding on for a 61-59 victory over TTT Riga to finish the group.
In Group C, double overtime was required when Edirnespor hosted Chevakata in their direct head-to-head battle for second spot in the group behind Enisey. Eventually, it was the hosts taking the honours, 97-94.
Despite falling 97-82 on the road to Istanbul Universitesi, Lulea BBK still went through in second spot in Group D ahead of Dunav 8806, who needed to defeat the previously winless Energia Ivanovo to overtake Lulea. However, a 67-60 loss ended their participation in European competition.
In the Round of 16, each team will play one other team in a home-and-away format, with the winning team of each pairing, on aggregate score, advancing to the Round of 8. The Round of 8 works with the same format, before the four winning teams move onto the Quarter-Finals, where they will be joined by the four EuroLeague Women sides relegated following the EuroLeague Women Regular Season.

The Round of 16 begins in the second week of January with the lowest-ranked teams playing at home. It is the turn of the higher-ranked teams to host a week later.
