MIES (Switzerland) – The deadline for the 6^th FIBA Photo Contest has been extended. Launched earlier this year under the theme ‘Local Basketball Pride', the contest is an opportunity for basketball lovers to showcase their talent by showing what basketball represents in their local communities.

The FIBA Foundation runs the photo contest as a way of promoting basketball's cultural heritage and promoting and disseminating its values.

Up to today, we have we have received 600 photos, from 68 countries.

To facilitate participation, the original deadline of 30 May has been extended to June 30^th at midnight (GMT/UTC).

Basketball and photography lovers now have more time to get creative and send in their photos for the chance to win some great prizes.

The best photos selected by the jury will be included in the 2022 edition of the FIBA Photo Contest Book.
