Bader is a bad man

Muharraq went up against Kuwait Club who had not lost a game in the West Asia Super League (WASL) Gulf in an entire calendar year or for a total of 13 games. They came away with a win, riding the wave of an exciting 34 points from Bader Malabes.

He's only played in 4 WASL games so far, but has been a key offensive option for Muharraq as evidenced by another big scoring game. Not only was this his highest point total this season, it was also the second-most points scored in a single game by a non-foreign player in WASL ever.

Walking Trivia Answer

"Which Japanese player holds the B.League single-game record for both points scored by a non-foreign players and assists made?" is one really fun trivia question and the answer is Yuki Kawamura.

Earlier in the season on December 6, Kawamura became the third Japanese player to score at least 40 points in more than one game and tied the aforementioned scoring record with 42 points.

Exactly one month later into the new year on January 6, Kawamura made history once again by breaking the single-game assist record (for all players) with 20 dimes in a win against the Toyamo Grouses. If you haven't already tuned in to a Yokohama B-Corsairs game this season, you should. It seems like there's always a good chance to watch history being made.

Rise for Ra

On January 11, Ra GunA scored 29 points to lead KCC Egis to a third straight win over the Seoul SK Knights, stopping the Knights' 12-game win streak.

More than the big-scoring performance, this game also propelled Ra to become the all-time scoring leader in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) among foreign players as he now has 10,901 points.

King of Rebounds

Arsalan Kazemi was already the WASL West Asia all-time leader in rebounds heading into his clash against Sagesse, but it might have felt nice to hit a milestone of 150 boards.

Kazemi holds the season-high record for this WASL season with 18 rebounds playing for Gorgan, while also holding the all-time WASL single-game record with 20 rebounds playing for ZobAhan last year.

Truly a ruler of rebounds.
