Following the Covid-19 Protocol for FIBA Official National Team and Club Competitions, FIBA has decided that today’s game between Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon of the FIBA AfroBasket 2021 Qualifiers in Yaounde, Cameroon will not take place, with the health and safety of players, coaches and officials being the primary consideration.

The decision was taken after the late arrival of the delegation of Equatorial Guinea in Yaounde which did not allow sufficient time to receive the required PCR test results before the start of the game. 

The status of this game will be decided at a later stage. 

FIBA will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and communicate any further updates regarding its competitions if necessary.
