FIBA invites basketball world to stay active with Olympic Day workout
MIES (Switzerland) - Olympians and athletes from around the world are coming together as part of a 24-hour Olympic Day workout with Japan's star Ramu Tokashiki representing basketball.
There will be live workouts across the Olympics' digital platforms in continuation of the #StayStrong, #StayActive, #StayHealthy campaign from the International Olympic Committee.
Tokashiki - who competed at the 2016 Olympics in Rio - is involved with the Olympic Day workout and challenged her 56,000 followers on Instagram to participate with a demonstration on performing squat jumps.
The COVID-19 global pandemic resulted in the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which are now set to take place from July 23-August 8 in 2021.
FIBA joins the rest of the Olympic family in support of the initiative and encourages fans to participate in the online Olympic Day activities.
