FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre exhibition strengthens connections with Approved Equipment suppliers

MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre exhibition at this year's FSB International Trade Fair in Germany showcased the quality standards of FIBA Approved Equipment while providing a platform for partners and stakeholders to further enhance their valuable relationships.

FIBA's exhibition this year drew inspiration from the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball, FIBA's global headquarters, to create an inclusive space for all basketball stakeholders to connect.

In addition, the exhibition displayed the high standard and quality of the FIBA Approval Program with a live demonstration of state-of-the-art testing equipment. One such exhibit was the 'Artificial Athlete', which assesses the ability of the surface to reduce force and provide cushioning to players during running and landings from jumps.

Built upon rigorous testing and innovation, FIBA's Equipment & Venue Centre aims to shape the FIBA Approval Program into an even more vibrant business network that offers the go-to quality label in the market.

Bart Prinssen, Head of the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre, said: "Over the years, the FIBA Approval Program has been known for setting high-quality standards of basketball equipment for the industry. Our exhibition this year is a testament to the commitment of FIBA and the Equipment & Venue Centre to bring more value to our partners and especially during the next FIBA Basketball World Cup cycle leading up to the 2027 edition in Qatar.

"It was pleasing to see a very high representation of our partners exhibiting and visiting our exhibition and this also gives us more confidence in this direction for the future."

He added: "We have and will continue to invest in bringing more visibility to FIBA Approved basketball equipment and to also create more networking opportunities for our partners within the FIBA competitions and corporate network."

The exhibition space concept also included inspirational photos such as the winning moment from the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, the introduction of 3x3 at the previous Olympic Games in Tokyo, and FIBA's strategic pillars, Women in Basketball.

In addition to the exhibition, the FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre also launched the FIBA Venue Guide at the IAKS Congress in Cologne, which supports the installation of key components of basketball arenas and the supply of quality basketball equipment.
