KEN - UK based players arrives home for Games preparations

NAIROBI (All Africa Games) - UK based guard Marion Githegi has arrived home ready to rumbled with the rest of the players for the All Africa Games ticket.

Githegi, who is a student at Kimball Union in London, arrived in Nairobi on Friday and aleady had her first training stint with the national side.

The team is currently training for the Pan Africa Games at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium.The games are slated for July 11 in Algiers, Algeria.

Another overseas based player, Rose Ouma, is expected to arrive in the country on Wednesday to join the team's training camp. The former KPA guard is based in
Illinois, USA.

Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) chairman Agina Wesonga confirmed that a ticket has already been dispatched to the play maker. Ouma was in Abuja 2003.

"The team's training camp will get another huge boost when Rose finally arrives to join the rest of players." said a beaming Agina adding, "It will now be
all systems go."

Ouma and will bring the number of overseas based playerswho are back in the country to two. Githegi is home and will train with the team Monday afternoon.

Head coach Ronny Owino said Marion who has already trained once with the rest "fitted in well. She is quick and has good basics, a smooth shot and good
floor vision." He said.

Two more players Josephine Owino who was also a member of Abuja squad and Mayurren Obudho who are based in Tennessee and Texas respectively are also expected.

Owino said that three Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) players currently training in Mombasa namely Mirriam Owuor, Caroline Arato and Gladys Wanyama will join the
team this week.

At the sametime Owino called up University players Edna Musundi and Faith Owich to join the team's training camp at Nyayo National Stadium immediately.

"They proved their worth dueing the games they deserve a national team call up." said Owino who commended youngsters Brenda Angechi, Anastasia Njeri and Emma
Nyakweba for their output during the ended regional games.
