CARACAS (South American Championship for Cadets) - Venezuela coach Nestor Salazar has named the 12-man official roster for the next month’s South American Championship for Cadets in Uruguay.

This is the last competition in the calendar of the South American Basketball Confederation and it will take place from November 19-25.

On Monday it will be decided whether the tournament will be played in Montevideo or the city of Trinidad.

Power forward Heberto Guanipa twisted his right ankle during a warm-up friendly against Duros in Barquisimeto but Salazar has decided to keep him in the squad.

Guard Yonaiker Ecker will miss the championship with a shoulder injury.

"The most responsible decision is to take care of his health," said Salazar.

Venezuela squad: Josmar Acevedo, Carlos Canchica, Heberto Guanipa, Jesus Brito, Emilio Cappare, Rostin Gonzalez, Luis Carmona, Jhonny Juarez, Miguel Rivas, Isael Flore, Jose Orozco, Yelfry Berroteran.

Uruguay squad: Miguel Barriola, Mathias Calfani, Damian Lopez, Diego Martinez, Nicolas Alvarez, Nicolas Catala, Ivan Loriente, Facundo Roselli, Pablo Garcia, Bruno Fittipaldo, Santiago Rodriguez, Cristian Tisierre.
