Strong FIBA youth flavor for USA as roster revealed for 2024 Women's Nike Hoop Summit

COLORADO SPRINGS (USA) - USA Basketball have named a number of exciting young players for the 2024 Women's Nike Hoop Summit, who have previously excelled at various FIBA youth tournaments.

Joyce Edwards and Allie Ziebell took home gold last year when they were part of the all-conquering USA team at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 in Madrid, Spain which was widely heralded as the best ever.

Edwards also had the honor of making the All-Star Five lineup having led the champions in efficiency at 16.6 per game, as well as scoring with an average of 12.6 points to go with her 6.1 rebounds.

Jaloni Cambridge, Morgan Cheli and Mackenly Randolph have also shown their talent on the global stage after catapulting their country to the top step of the podium at the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022 in Debrecen, Hungary.

Cambridge and Dudley were also winners of the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship in Leon, Mexico - an accomplishment also attained by OIivia Olsen who was also present at the event.

Sarah Strong is a two-time gold medalist as a member of the USA's FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup title winning team in 2022 and then repeated the feat in 2023.

Meanwhile Mikayla Blakes, Madisen McDaniel, Arianna Roberson and Kennedy Smith will all make their USA Basketball competitive debuts.

USA head coach Sue Phillips not only served as the head coach for the inaugural women’s Nike Hoop Summit game in 2023 but has also led USA Basketball to four junior national team gold medal finishes.

The 25th Nike Hoop Summit is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. 2023 was the first year the event also hosted a Women's game.
