TURKEY BOUND – Lakers, Magic pull out the brooms

SALT LAKE CITY (2010 Fiba World Championship) - The Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic are each four wins away from a rematch of last year's NBA Finals.

Pau Gasol of Spain poured in 33 points and corralled 14 rebounds while Team USA's Kobe Bryant weighed in with 32 points as LA whipped Utah 111-96 in Game 4 of their Western Conference semi-final.

Phil Jackson's team took command in the second quarter when they outscored the Jazz 29-17 en route to a 58-41 half-time advantage.

The Lakers will now go up against the Phoenix Suns, who swept San Antonio in their semi-final tie, in the Western Conference finals.

Utah got 21 points and nine assists from Deron Williams 10 points with 14 rebounds from Carlos Boozer but the Team USA duo's contributions weren't enough as Utah lost for the third straight year in the play-offs to LA.

Russia's Andrei Kirilenko, who missed most of the end of the season and the play-offs with calf injuries, played 12 minutes and scored three points for the Jazz.

Another potential Team USA man this summer at the FIBA World Championship, 2004 Olympian Lamar Odom, had 10 points and five rebounds off the bench for LA.

In Orlando's 94-84 Game 4 triumph in the Eastern Conference semi-finals, France's Mickael Pietrus had 12 points on four of eight shooting from long range.

Also for the Magic, Team USA center Dwight Howard scored 13 points and corralled eight rebounds but hit just three of six free-throws and finished with a game-high seven turnovers.

Orlando will play the winner of Cleveland’s Eastern Conference semi-final against Boston, a series that is tied at 2-2.
