PR n° 25 - New FIBA Ranking after FIBA World Championship

SAITAMA (FIBA World Championship) - FIBA announced their new world rankings for men's national teams following Spain's triumph over Greece in the gold medal game of the FIBA World Championship.

Team USA claimed bronze and, as a consequence, defend their first position ahead of Argentina.

With their title, Spain moved up from fifth to third position while Greece, last year's EuroBasket winners, improved from eighth to sixth.
