KOR – KCC Egis, Dongbu pull one back to level semi-finals
SEOUL (KBL) - KCC Egis beat Incheon ET Land Elephants 91-82 on Thursday and Dongbu Promy saw off regular season champions Sonic Boom KT 75-70 to tie their respective KBL semi-finals series at 1-1.
KCC Egis, who had suffered a double overtime loss in Game 1, trailed at the end of the first quarter, but used a 26-13 scoring advantage in the second period to take the lead and did not look back from that point on.
Eric Dawson had game-highs of 24 points and 11 rebounds and four other players scored in doubled digits for KCC Egis.
Choo Seung-Kyun added 15 points while giant center Ha Seung-jin hauled in 10 rebounds to go with his 13 points.
Herbet Hill’s 24 points paced the Elephants. Fellow American Jarod Stevenson had 22 points.
Meanwhile, Hwang Jin-won (pictured) and Rod Benson each scored 14 points to lead Dongbu over Sonic Boom.
Veteran Kim Joo-sung chipped in with 13 points, Park Ji-hyon finished with a dozen and Yoon Ho-young had 10 points and as many rebounds.
Charles Rhodes had a game-high 22 points for Sonic Boom but Song Young-jin was the only other player in double figures with 10 points.
