GRANADA (ACB) - Spanish ACB strugglers CB Granada have appointed former Obradoiro boss Curro Segura as their new coach.

Segura, who coached the club when it was known as Covirán Granada in the 1997-98 season, made headlines last season when Obradoiro (Xacobeo BluSens) had a good start to the ACB campaign and nearly qualified for the Copa del Rey.

The club ultimately won just eight games and was relegated.

Bottom of the league with just three victories all season, Granada fired Trifón Poch this week.

Granada will take on in-form Power Electronics Valencia on Saturday.
