CHN - Xinjiang on a roll

BEIJING (CBA) - No team has been better this season in China than Xinjiang, who won for the 12th consecutive time in the last round of the CBA.

Xinjiang defeated Foshan 105-91, who lost despite getting a big game from their former Team USA star Stephon Marbury.

Marbury scored 27 points and handed out eight assists in one of the top performances of the week.

The American famously made a Team USA record six three-pointers and scored a game-high 31 points to knock previously unbeaten Spain out of the 2004 Olympics in their Quarter-Final match-up.

A long-time NBA player, Marbury is now in his second season in China.

James Singleton and former China center Mengke Bateer each had 24 points for the winners.

Dongguan, who are coached by former Australia national team boss Brian Goorjian, are in close pursuit of Xinjiang at 11-1 after beating Qingdao DS, 117-106.

The star man for Dongguan in their victory was Lebanese international Jackson Vroman, who had 28 points and 19 boards.

Shanghai Sharks, the team led by China national team boss Bob Donewald, are 5-8 after a 103-96 setback to second-bottom Fujian.

The win was just the second in 12 games for Fujian.
