MIES, Switzerland - There's more than one way to be a part of international basketball action as 2016 showed with three million new fans following FIBA and its competitions on social media.

If fans could not manage to go to games, they were able to watch as many as 1,200 online thanks to FIBA livestreaming on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

The fan engagement has never been as high on FIBA's digital platforms thanks to 116 event websites and 43 social media accounts in a total of 11 different languages (English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Serbia, Italian, Czech, Turkish, Finnish, Hebrew and Romanian).
