    Everything you need to know about this summer's FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division C tournament.

    TA'QALI (Malta) - The FIBA U16 EuroBasket, Division C tournament is one of 16 exciting youth events taking place this summer.

    It will occur in Ta'Qali, Malta, from July 7-12.

    Who is participating?

    A total of seven teams will compete for the Division C title. They have been split into two groups of four teams.

    The Group Phase is as follows:

    Group A: Malta, Georgia, Kosovo Group B: Albania, Moldova, Armenia, Gibraltar

    What is the schedule?

    The Group Phase takes place over three days, with a rest day on July 10. The competition then moves on to the Semi-Finals on July 11. The Final will begin on July 12, and the final Classification Games will also determine each of the eight positions.

    Who were the winners in 2025?

    Cyprus bagged a record-breaking fifth FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division C championship, by beating Armenia 65-58 in the Final.

    Angeliki Kyprianou put up 19 points to lead Cyprus, with Katerina Shakalli sinking four three-pointers for 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

    Albania claimed back-to-back bronze medals after beating Malta 61-57 in the Third Place Game. Antea Filopati produced an all-around performance of 13 points, 10 assists, 9 steals and 7 rebounds for the Albanians.

    Former MVPs

    Cyprus' Evelina Demetriadi was named MVP of last year's FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket 2025, Division C event.

    Even though she didn't top the charts in any statistical column, Demetriadi showcased a consistent all-around game, leading Cyprus to glory. She averaged 12.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.6 steals in the tournament.

    Demetriadi's achievement broke Azerbaijan's two-year rule over the MVP award. The previous five winners of the tournament's MVP are as follows:

    Roll of honor

    Cyprus remains the most successful nation in Division C, by adding a fifth title to its name. Scotland has tasted success three times, as has Iceland.
