VALLETTA (Malta) - Samira Deguara added the Most Valuable Player award to Malta's historic home triumph after inspiring the hosts to the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket 2026, Division C title.
Deguara enjoyed an outstanding tournament, averaging 24.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 3 steals per game. She saved her best for the Final, posting 26 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals as Malta completed an unbeaten run on home court with a convincing victory over Albania.
She was joined in the All-Star Five by teammate Claire Portelli, as well as Helena Byberi of Albania, Lizi Jabua of Georgia and Celine Najarian of Armenia.
