MUNICH (Germany) - The second week of action is primed to entertain us all, but first it's time to make some predictions about which teams are ready to roll and who might come up short.

There are the usual eight exciting matchups to enjoy, including a blockbuster game between Valencia Basket Club and Fenerbahce Opet who both made the Semi-Finals last season.

    Expert Picks

This season we're calling on the one-two punch of FIBA's global women's basketball specialist Paul Nilsen and EuroLeague Women lead commentator Mark Mills for their predictions.

This week it's Mark with his first outing as he makes his predictions for Gameday 2.

    Safe Pick🔒

There might not be a truly 'safe' pick this week, which tells you everything you need to know about how competitive the EuroLeague Women season is shaping up to be. That said, if I had to put my neck on the block, I’d back Beretta Famila Schio to get the job done at home against Sopron Basket. It's not a 'gimme', but Schio’s quality and home-court edge tip the scales.

    50/50🪙

Casademont Zaragoza against Umana Reyer Venezia is as tough to call as they come. Reyer is coming off an eye-catching upset and will bring plenty of belief into this one. But Zaragoza are starting to build momentum and have already shown they can win tight games. This one feels like it could go either way.

    Wildcard 🃏

Some might not see this as a true wildcard, others might think I’ve lost the plot entirely — but I could see Valencia Basket Club beating Fenerbahce Opet. On their home court, Valencia are tough. If they can find a way to contain Fener’s frontcourt, we could be looking at the shock of the week.
