Croatia survive double OT thriller to advance to the Last Eight

RADOM (FIBA U16 European Championship) - Croatia needed two extra periods to overcome Sweden as they completed the Quarter-Finals lineup.

The starters logged heavy minutes for Croatia with Luka Samanic playing for 46+ minutes as he registered 17 points, 15 rebounds and nine blocks in the 74-67 triumph.

Usman Garuba continues to make the headlines for Spain after going 13-of-13 in his 27-point display, while Carlos Alocen dished out a tournament-high 11 assists in another convincing victory.

Lithuania were far from their best but still saw off Estonia with ease and there were improved performances from Italy and France as they rubber stamped their places in the Last Eight.

Finland are still unbeaten after de-throning last year's champions, Bosnia and Herzegovina and they are joined in the next round by Turkey and Montenegro.

Eray Akyuz scored 26 points to help his side past Latvia, while Igor Drobnjak had 25 in Montenegro's win over Serbia.
