ZARAGOZA (Spain) - With the latest fantastic EuroLeague Women season in the books and another champion crowned in the shape of Fenerbahce Opet, it's time to check out where the Turkish club sits in the modern era winners list.
Fenerbahce can now proudly display three stars on their jersey and become only the fourth club to have ever won three or more titles.
Their triumph in Zaragoza comes after they secured their first ever silverware in 2023, a crown which they successfully defended a year later in Mersin.
They have now drawn level with French club Tango Bourges Basket who won three of the first five editions of the modern era.
Meanwhile the next target for Fenerbahce is to match storied Russian club Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje who famously won four editions in a row - something no other club has done during modern times.
But there is still some way to go to catch UMMC Ekaterinburg, who are still way out in front with their stellar haul of six titles.
Outside of the modern era, it's going to take some time before anyone gets anywhere near the extraordinary achievement of Daugava Riga who collected a total of 18 titles - including a winning streak of 12.
