ZARAGOZA (Spain) - It was a case of a double celebration for Julie Allemand after the Fenerbahce Opet playmaker added to her EuroLeague Women winners' medal by being crowned Final Six MVP, presented by Azulmarino. A sensation for her team in their 68-55 triumph against Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring, the Belgian ace came within one rebound of a spectacular and memorable triple-double.
The 29-year-old finished with a stellar performance efficiency valuation of 30 to fuel a third title for the Istanbul giants. Her stunning tally in the showpiece game included 13 points, 10 assists, 9 boards and 3 steals. Across both of her games at Final Six, Allemand averaged a performance efficiency valuation of 22.0 after recording 12.5 points, 7.0 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals.
"It's amazing and I feel like I am dreaming now, and I can't believe I have made it. " stated Allemand. "This is my biggest accomplishment after winning our first FIBA Women's EuroBasket with Belgium in 2023.
"But this one is also special because it is my first and because it is the 7th [EuroLeague Women] title for Emma [Meesseman].
"That means a lot to me. She is such ana amazing player. This was out first together in a club and I think after what happened in 2023, this is the most special moment," concluded the guard.
