Ukraine made it four wins from four in the Group Phase

    Bulgaria, Ukraine, Sweden ride into Quarter-Finals with perfect records.

    BRATISLAVA (Slovakia) - Bulgaria, Ukraine and Sweden rolled into the Quarter-Finals of the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2026, Division B with perfect records, while Iceland advanced despite a first defeat.

    Top players to watch at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2026, Division B

    Iceland suffered their first loss of the tournament with an 80-77 defeat against Bosnia and Herzegovina but still reached the Quarter-Finals in a three-way tie at 3-1. Iceland could afford an 8-point loss and still finish in the top two in Group C, taking second place behind Portugal.

    Bosnia and Herzegovina could not use the victory as they are playing in the U20 age category for the first time since 2016. Vasilije Kuridza led the way with 22 points and 9 rebounds while Viktor Ludviksson had 25 points and 12 rebounds for Iceland.

    Portugal beat Kosovo 76-39 for their third win in the group.

    Luxembourg 65-80 Ukraine

    Ukraine secured the top spot in Group B as they won the battle of previous unbeaten sides, pulling away in the third quarter for an 80-65 win over Luxembourg. Ukraine, who were relegated back to Division B last summer, won the third frame 23-15 to take control. Yehor Sushkin was top scorer in the win with 22 points to go with 8 assists.

    Luxembourg did not participate in this event the last two years but also moved into the Quarters.

    Albania 73-105 Bulgaria

    Bulgaria moved closer to reaching the Division A for the first time since 2015 as they topped Group D with a perfect 4-0 mark after beating Albania 105-73. Bulgaria raced away to a 72-34 halftime lead in reaching the top eight of this competition for the first time since 2022. Kaloyan Balkandzhiev led the way with 19 points in the win.

    Hungary also moved into the Quarter-Finals with a 3-1 record as they did not play on Wednesday.

    Ireland guard Adam Charles was too much for the hosts

    Ireland locked up a spot in the Quarter-Finals with an 86-49 win over hosts Slovakia. That gave Ireland a 3-1 record in Group A for second place behind undefeated Sweden, who did not play on Wednesday. The Irish, who registered their best-ever showing of seventh place last summer, were paced by Adam Charles with 14 points and 9 rebounds

    Quarter-Finals will take place on Friday, July 17.
