ZARAGOZA (Spain) - Leila Lacan has been recognized for her stellar work with Basket Landes across the 2025-26 campaign by being named this season's EuroLeague Women Rising Star.

The guard led her team to history and a maiden appearance at Final Six with her energetic displays at both ends of the court. The award comes alongside also being named to the EuroLeague Women Team of the Season.

Lacan also continues the strong theme of French players winning the category, with the 21 year-old the fourth baller from the country to be crowned Rising Star since the inaugural edition of the awards.

She delivered a performance efficiency valuation of 11.4 per game after netting an average 12.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.0 steals.

Lacan won the distinguished honor via a combination of the votes of EuroLeague Women coaches, players, selected media and the fans.

The award was presented by FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak and EuroLeague Women legend Sonja Vasic.

Lacan took the award in front of fellow Finalists Juste Jocyte of Spar Girona and Carla Leite of Casademont Zaragoza, with only players born 2004 and later eligible for the award.
