The impressive Lusail Arena is a state-of-the-art multipurpose sports facility inaugurated in 2015. It has hosted several home games of Qatar’s men national basketball team, as well as the FIBA West Asia Super League Final-8 tournament in the 2023-24 season.
The Final Phase of the FIBA Basketball World Cup-Qatar 2027 will take place in Lusail. It will be the second time that the final of a World Cup tournament will be played there after the 2015 men’s handball World Cup gold medal match.
