MUNICH (Germany) - Mariam Coulibaly has been named EuroLeague Women MVP for December in recognition of her stellar work for Spar Girona who head into 2026 on a high and with a 7-1 record.
The center has been a tower of strength inside the paint for her team and she takes the accolade thanks to a combination of both fan and expert panel voting. Coulibaly was one of five standout ballers who where chosen for the December Team of the Month.
The 28 year-old averaged an incredible performance efficiency valuation of 31.5 after putting in some dominant December displays for the Spanish team.
Coulibaly is now the leading scorer in the competition, helped by amassing a sparkling 25.5 points per game during the period. She also completed a fantastic double-double by hauling down 11.5 rebounds, as well as serving up 1.5 assists per outing.
The first game of December witnessed the Mali star take Spar Girona to an 81-72 home court success against Beretta Famila Schio. Coulibaly went to work with a near double-double of 21 points and 9 rebounds, also dishing up 2 dimes.
She then produced one of the top EuroLeague Women displays of 2025 as her side stormed past Flammes Carolo Basket 83-68 on the road. Coulibaly was unstoppable as she put up a spectacular 30 points and 14 rebounds to inspire the victory.
Coulibaly is the third winner of the monthly honor this season, with Iliana Rupert having landed the October award and Fenerbahce Opet teammate, Julie Allemand taking the November edition.
