Ironi Ness Ziona, Arged BMSLAM Stal enjoy second wins, lead four teams through

MUNICH (Germany) - Ironi Ness Ziona, Arged BMSLAM Stal and BC Parma all picked up wins on Thursday to clinch their progression from the Regular Season.

Arged BMSLAM Stal had to hold off a valiant fightback from Sporting CP to seal a dramatic 85-83 victory, which also sealed a place in the Round of 16 for Ironi Ness Ziona with both sides staying unbeaten.

Jakub Garbacz got off to a hot start on his way to a team-high 16 points as the Polish side led by as many as 18 points early in the fourth quarter. However, Sporting rallied and saw their chance to snatch victory at the buzzer rim out.

Earlier, Ness Ziona avoided any such dramas as they eased past Szolnoki Olajbanyasz, 90-73, with Wayne Selden and Jerome Meyinsse scoring 17 points apiece. Patrick Miller and Tal Dunne weighed in with 15 points each as the duo also combined for 14 assists in the win.

BC Parma took to the court for the first time at Maaspoort and booked their place in the Round of 16 with a convincing 93-81 win over Donar Groningen as Boris Savovic netted 23 points. The result also means Heroes Den Bosch advance, while their Dutch rivals must now wait to see if they make it through as the one of the four best third-placed teams.

It's all to play for in Group D with all four teams heading into the final day of the Regular Season with 1-1 records in Istanbul.

BC Balkan edged out CSM CSU Oradea 58-55 as Bozhidar Avramov hit a couple of huge threes in a decisive 7-0 burst late on, while Besiktas ICRYPEX secured their first win on home soil.

Sehmus Hazer top scored with 25 points with Joel Berry close behind on 21, while teen sensation Alperen Sengun stuffed the stat-sheet with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks in their 90-81 triumph against BC CSU Sibiu.

BC Prometey also made it two wins from two as they defeated Rilski Sportist 89-76, with the Bulgarian side still without a victory. A dominant second period paved the way in the win with Rashad Vaughn starring with 27 points - including five triples - along with 6 assists.

Elsewhere in Group B, BC Kyiv Basket bounced back from their opening defeat to register their maiden victory as they overcame Kapfenberg Bulls in a 61-51 success.

There are 10 games on the schedule for Friday as the Regular Season concludes with 16 teams heading into the knockout stages.
