Iraklis seal second straight win, Anwil up and running as Dnipro advance

MUNICH (Germany) - Iraklis BC maintained their unbeaten start to the Regular Season, while there were also wins for Anwil Wloclawek and Belfius Mons-Hainaut, on Wednesday.

The Greek side moved to 2-0 in Group A as they came from behind to defeat UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia 78-74. Olivier Hanlan top scored again with 18 points with Vassilis Kavvadas adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Reggio Emilia had led by 10 points towards the end of third and were 70-62 ahead with 6:27 remaining before Iraklis made their move to take the lead with an 11-2 run spanning almost five minutes - and they iced the victory from the foul line.

Anwil began their campaign with a 74-71 victory over BC Dnipro, though the margin of defeat meant that the Ukrainian side are guaranteed their spot in the Round of 16 stage following an opening win yesterday.

Ivan Almeida led the way in the win for the hosts with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks with Kyndall Dykes adding 18 points and 6 assists. Anwil round out the Group E action on Friday when they take on Fribourg Olympic.

Earlier, Belfius Mons-Hainaut picked up their first win as American duo Skylar Spencer and Jabril Durham helped lead their side past Egis Kormend in an 83-66 victory. Spencer finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds with Durham posting 16 points and 8 assists.

The action continues on Wednesday when seven more games take place to complete Gameday 2.
