Hatay edge triple OT thriller, while Avenida advance despite defeat
MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) - Hatay BB kept their top-four hopes alive in Group B after coming out on top in a classic encounter in the penultimate week of the Regular Season.
It was a third straight victory for the Turkish side as they edged out Uniqa Sopron 98-95 after three extra periods.
Courtney Paris produced an astonishing double-double of 33 points and 28 rebounds with Bahar Ozturk also netting 33 points in the win.
"Sopron is a tough team to beat, especially at home, but we kept fighting and eventually got the win in a hectic game," declared Paris.
Perfumerias Avenida are assured of a place in the Quarter-Finals despite going down 69-63 against Bourges.
Kayla Alexander led the way with 16 points and 10 boards, but Avenida have the head-to-head to advance with the final spot to be decided between Bourges and Hatay, who meet next week.
BLMA now have control of their own fate in Group A after beating Uni Gyor 69-50 to improve to 7-6, while Famila Schio were beaten.
Dynamo Kursk took their perfect record to 13-0 with a 70-64 success over the Italian side as the loss dents their hopes of a top-four finish in Group A.
Anna Cruz top scored with 16 points and dished out 9 assists, while Angel McCoughtry registered 5 blocks - the joint-second most this season.
Schio now have a 6-7 record and need to beat Prague next week, whilst hoping BLMA fail to win their final game on the same night.

Defeat for ESBVA-LM ended their hopes of a top-four finish as they were beaten 77-68 away at CCC Polkowice, who picked up their second win.
One team assured of a EuroCup Women Quarter-Final spot are Wisla Can-Pack after securing sixth place in Group A with a 83-74 win on the road at Mersin.
Vanessa Gidden posted 20 points with 9 rebounds, while Sandra Ygueravide contributed 18 points, 9 assists and 5 steals.
Fenerbahce sealed a second place finish as they defeated ZVVZ USK Prague 71-63 away from home behind 15 points and 11 boards from Jantel Lavender.
