UMMC confirmed as Group B winners after taking down Nadezhda

EKATERINBURG (EuroLeague Women) - UMMC have wrapped up top spot in Group B after they outpaced Nadezhda 88-81 to complete the double over their fellow Russian side.

In a game which saw both teams engaged in an entertaining shoot-out, the home side just had the edge down the stretch.

Nadezhda kept pace with their rivals thanks mainly to 28 points and 10 rebounds from Amanda Zahui.

The Swedish ace is having a superb first season in the competition, but it just wasn't enough for Orenburg to avenge their loss to UMMC earlier in the Regular Season - or last year's Final.

Ekaterinburg were led by Brittney Griner who had 22 points and 7 rebounds, while Kristi Toliver added a smart 17 points before leaving the court with a worrying injury problem to her right leg.

Nadezhda fall to 9-4, but have already nailed second place in the Group.
