Sopron make history with thrilling win to make first-ever Final

SOPRON (EuroLeague Women) – The party is in full swing in Sopron after the 2018 hosts reached their maiden EuroLeague Women Final with a dramatic 68-65 success over Yakin Dogu Universitesi.

Turning point: It all came down to crunch time and it was fitting that a player who represented Sopron on their only previous Final Four appearance made the clutch triple. Step forward Jelena Milovanovic who cemented herself as a Sopron legend with that play.

Stats don't lie: Yakin Dogu Universitesi will be having nightmares about going 14-of-25 from the free-throw line.

Game heroes: While Milovanovic wrote the headlines, it was an outstanding team effort. Aleksandra Crvendakic had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds. Angela Salvadores had a season-high 16 points off the bench and Yvonne Turner top-scored with 19 points.

They said: "It came down to the last shot and I was lucky enough to make it. I am glad that there was trust from my team that I got the ball for the last shot and I am happy that we are in the Final as we deserve to be there." Sopron's game-winner, Jelena Milovanovic.
