SOPRON (EuroLeague Women) – UMMC reached their third Final in four editions of EuroLeague Women after edging out Dynamo Kursk 77-84 and ending the 34-game winning streak of the reining champions.

Turning point: UMMC erupted in the third period with 27 points as they continued their momentum from the end of the first half. That late flourish before the interval was the critical part of the contest. They got onto the front foot in a big way and when the action resumed, the Kursk defense couldn't cope.

Stats don't lie: UMMC made a big splash from long-range and it was a difference maker. They managed to sink 8 triples and that was telling.

Game heroes: Maya Moore underlined her status as one of the best players on the planet with a superb 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Belgian forward Emma Meesseman also came to the party with an impressive 19 points and 8 rebounds, while her frontcourt partner Brittney Griner racked up 19 points and 7 boards.

They said: "It was a very physical game and it is not easy to win against a team who has won everything. We maybe started a little nervous, but we played better team defense in the second half and saw our potential. Our goal is always to play in the Final and we will try to play good basketball on Sunday." UMMC head coach, Miguel Mendez.
