Artego Bydgoszcz and Valencia Basket leap beyond the Regular Season

MUNICH (Germany) - There are now six clubs who have guaranteed an extension past the Regular Season after Artego Bydgoszcz and Valencia Basket joined the four teams who took their tickets 24 hours earlier.

Bydgoszcz were the first to claim their spot on Thursday night after they completed a 76-50 blowout win at Sepsi-Sic. The hosts had been hoping for a third straight victory but were undone by  Lithuanian Laura Miskiniene, who  was again on top form for Bydgoszcz and registered 24 points and 11 rebounds.

 
Valencia are enjoying their maiden campaign and can now also look forward to making it past the Regular Season after they had little difficulty seeing off CEKK Cegled 93-49. It was a real team effort, with five players making it to double-digits and Julia Reisingerova top scoring with 15 points.

Elsewhere in the competition, KSC Szekszard had the chance to also go 4-0 and wrap up their place, but were torn down at Basket Hema SKW. Their Belgian opponents completed a 67-48 success, with Eline Maesschalk Cornand leading the way with 19 points, 7 boards and 4 assists.  

Besiktas TRC Insaat boosted their hopes of progressing with an absorbing 102-95 victory against Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje. Katsiaryna Snytsina was excellent with 26 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals, while Bahar Caglar weighed in with 21 points 13 board and 6 assists.

Botas also moved a step closer when they beat Ramla 78-70 in Israel off the back of 31 points from Kelsey Mitchell, while her namesake Tiffany had 30 points in defeat.

On Wednesday night, a quartet of teams all punched their respective tickets to the next stage.
