EuroLeague Women launches TikTok account
MUNICH (Germany) - EuroLeague Women has taken a further step in its digital growth with the launch of an official TikTok account.
The move expands the league's wide-ranging reach across social media channels and also helps target new audiences on the popular short-form video platform.
EuroLeague Women celebrated its most successful season at the culmination of the 2022-23 campaign with over 100 million impressions, whilst surpassing the 500,000 follower mark across all channels.
"This is an exciting time for EuroLeague Women and it is the perfect opportunity to capitalize on the growing digital success of the competition," commented FIBA Executive Director Europe, Kamil Novak.
"We must keep progressing in the right direction and raising the profile of the women's game by bringing in new audiences."
The upward trend is continuing in the current season with the move to TikTok enabling the opportunity to push towards greater heights by maximizing the impact of the competition and increasing the number of fans in line with FIBA's strategic pillar, Women in Basketball.
By providing new content catered to the platform, EuroLeague Women will also work in collaboration with the clubs around the league, and continue to shine on a light on its star players and engage with new audiences.
