CHENGDU (China) – The stage is set for the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Chengdu 2026 on May 1-2, with a stacked 16-team field confirmed and ready to light up one the opening stop of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series 2026.
All eyes will be on top seeds Ulaanbaatar Amazons (MGL), who enter as one of the most dominant forces on the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series. Known for their physicality, chemistry and relentless scoring punch, the Mongolian side will be eager to stamp their authority early in the season.
They headline a loaded Pool A, where they will face familiar foes Mongolia (MGL) and Yanjing (CHN) in what promises to be a fiery group with a lot of pride on the line.
European contenders Amsterdam (NED), seeded second, bring their trademark discipline and versatility into Pool B, where they take on dangerous sides Germany (GER) and Beijing (CHN). With multiple proven playmakers across all three teams, expect a tightly contested race for the top spot.
Third seeds Australia (AUS) will look to make a strong statement in Pool D against powerhouse United States (USA) and the winner of Qualifying Draw B. Australia’s blend of athleticism and experience makes them a serious title threat, but they will have to navigate a tough path right from the start.
Meanwhile, Poland (POL) headline Pool C as the fourth seed and will square off against Japan (JPN) and the winner of Qualifying Draw A. Poland’s structured style and defensive grit could prove decisive in what shapes as a balanced and unpredictable pool.
Before the main draw tips off, six teams will battle it out in the Qualifying Draw for the final two spots in the Main Draw. In Qualifying Draw A, China (CHN), Warsaw (POL) and Lion City (SGP) will go head-to-head, while Qualifying Draw B features Philippines (PHI), New Zealand (NZL) and Brazil (BRA) in a wide-open race.
