    MIES (Switzerland) – FIBA has confirmed an updated calendar for the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series 2026, with 25 events set to take place from May to September, before the season concludes at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Shanghai Project Redwings Final on September 5-6.

    The calendar reflects the continued growth of the premier professional circuit in women’s 3x3 basketball, with returning hosts, new markets and expanded global reach across the 2026 season.

    Expanding global reach of women’s 3x3 basketball

    Launched in 2019, the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series has become one of the fastest-growing properties in women’s basketball.

    The circuit expands from 15 stops in 2025 to 25 stops in 2026, reflecting increased investment, broader geographic reach and rising participation across the professional game.

    The competition continues to attract national teams, city teams, commercial teams and professional clubs, while strengthening the pathway toward major international competitions including the FIBA 3x3 World Cup and the Olympic Games.

    Record digital growth

    The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series reached new digital milestones in 2025, recording strong year-over-year growth across social and digital platforms.

    To illustrate, the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final 2025 delivered spectacular numbers, building on last year’s success. The event in Shanghai generated:

    • 5.1 million views (up from 4.5M in 2024 | + 13%)

    • 13.5 million impressions (more than double from 2024 | + 141%)

    • 1.1 million engagements (more than five-fold increase from 2024 | +450%)

    The growth reflects increasing global visibility for women’s 3x3 basketball and expanding fan engagement across international audiences.

    Platform for elite talent

    The FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series has also established itself as a key platform for emerging and established talent in women’s basketball.

    Shanghai will continue as the home of the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Final through 2028, reinforcing long-term stability and investment in the competition.
