Ulaanbaatar Amazons as team to beat
Every season needs a benchmark. So far in 2026, that team has been the Ulaanbaatar Amazons (MGL). The Mongolian powerhouse sits atop the overall standings after capturing two FIBA 3x3 Women's Series titles and consistently delivering when the stakes are highest. Powered by "Warrior Princess" Khulan Onolbaatar, dynamic inside operator Amari Robinson, the ever-reliable Ariuntsetseg Bat-Erdene and clutch shooter Kayleigh Truong, the Amazons have combined chemistry, confidence and unbridled passion to establish themselves as the team everyone wants to beat.

Never been deeper
If one team has set the pace, the chasing pack has made sure there's no room for complacency. Rapid Bucharest (ROU), Neftchi SOCAR (AZE), China (CHN) and Germany (GER) all remain firmly in contention. Meanwhile, Beijing (CHN), Australia (AUS), France (FRA), Netherlands (NED), Spain (ESP) and last year's WS Final winners Canada (CAN) have each shown they can challenge the very best on any given weekend.
The result has been one of the most competitive FIBA 3x3 Women's Series seasons yet, with every stop producing new contenders and fresh storylines. As of this writing, no less than six teams have each won two WS stops in 2026 -- Ulaanbaatar Amazons, Neftchi SOCAR, Rapid Bucharest, Australia, Netherlands and United States (USA).
Take note as well that powerhouse and FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025 champions Netherlands have played just four WS stops so far. After winning in the recent WS Batam, they are set to play in WS Tokyo, CS Rapid, Sea Breeze and Debrecen, so watch out as they try to climb the WS Standings. As for United States, they have not seen action since early May. We'll see them again soon in WS Tokyo and Bordeaux.
