ISTANBUL (Türkiye) - Fenerbahce Opet have given their prospects of winning this year's EuroLeague Women title a further boost with the marquee signing of global superstar Breanna Stewart.

The USA forward will suit up for the club for a second time, having previously provided the thrust behind their maiden title success in 2023 when named Final Four MVP after a performance for the ages.

Stewart showed her class by posting a majestic 25-point performance in a 99-60 Final triumph against CBK Mersin Yenisehir Bld to take the Istanbul giants to their first ever silverware in the competition.

The 31-year-old also entered an exclusive club of legendary players that night in Praha, joining the likes of Diana Taurasi and Ann Wauters who have also won the distinguished Final Four MVP award more than once.

Stewart was also MVP for UMMC Ekaterinburg in 2021 when she won her first EuroLeague Women title.

Her return to Fenerbahce will take place at Final Six in Zaragoza during April, when Stewart will feature in a star-studded lineup alongside the likes of Emma Meesseman and Gabby Williams for the season showpiece.
