MUNICH (Germany) - This 2026 edition of FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket, Division B will once again be a launch-pad for some of the continent's rising stars to showcase their skills and potential.
Taking place this year across three different locations in Ioannina, Greece (August 6-11); Piestany, Slovakia (August 10-15); and Bertrange, Luxembourg (August 17-22), there is much to look forward to.

Here are just some of the best rising stars to look out for.
Berglind Hlynsdottir - Iceland
GUARD
Birth Date: May 22, 2010 (16 years old) Height: 6ft 0in / 1.84 cm
One of the most talented ballers of her generation in Europe, Hlynsdottir has already caused a sensation this summer with her amazing displays against opponents many years older when she lit it up at U20. Now against her peers, she will be even more phenomenal. Watch out for this scoring machine and her outstanding highlights reel.
Vilma Nedielkova - Slovakia
FORWARD
Birth Date: January 16, 2010 (16 years old) Height: 6ft 0in / 1.83 cm
An energetic player who uses her size and strength to great effect, Nedliekova played a cameo at last year's edition but should have a bigger impact this time around for the co-hosts. She will not only look to use her moves in the paint, but also her extended shooting range which makes her a potential primary scorer for Slovakia.
Mojan Malek - Great Britain
GUARD
Birth Date: April 6, 2010 (16 years old) Height: 5ft 10in / 1.77 cm
Underlining the potential of Malek, this will be a third U16 appearance for the guard and there is every chance her best campaign yet. While not always putting up huge numbers, she provides the glue that every team values and in a side that might struggle to produce offensively, her scoring and creative contributions could prove priceless.
Mille Boje Sorensen - Denmark
FORWARD
Birth Date: April 19, 2010 (16 years old) Height: 6ft 0in / 1.82 cm
A class act even at such a young age, Sorensen is someone who has been attracting a lot of attention already because of her skill-set and composure. That led to her leading the 2025 edition in scoring and with another 12 months of development, watch out for some towering performances and scoring touch for Denmark once again.
Merjem Karray - Bosnia and Herzegovina
GUARD
Birth Date: November 11, 2010 (15 years old) Height: 5ft 9in / 1.76 cm
Coming off the back of her eye-catching debut at the event last year, this do-it-all baller is looking to post another highly productive outing. The guard led Bosnia and Herzegovina with more than 14 points and 6 boards per game, and has played in her senior domestic league for the past season with Zenica, so expect her to be influential again.
Nora Svenningsen - Norway
FORWARD
Birth Date: October 15, 2010 (15 years old) Height: 5ft 11in / 1.80 cm
The forward is set to step out at her third edition of the event and that speaks volumes about her ability and her potential to dominate for Norway. An All-Star Five member of the Nordic Games last month, she showed out in a big way. Also playing for Ammerud in the Norwegian League she's put strong displays, so will be expected to shine.
Pangkela Bekiri - Greece
GUARD
Birth Date: June 26, 2010 (16 years old) Height: 5ft 9in / 1.75 cm
A gritty guard and likely to be a leader for the co-hosts, Bekiri showed glimpses last year of her upsides. Handing out more than 3.0 assists per game, she's not likely to return big numbers. She is a defensive power and has already spoken coming into this edition about a need for intensity and that epitomizes her character.
