MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 Draw and FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 induction ceremony will both take place in Berlin, Germany, on April 21 in what promises to be a landmark and memorable day for the sport. The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 will take place in the city from September 4 to 13, and with an expanded 16-team field at this next edition, there will be even more excitement and anticipation for the draw.

A total of 11 tickets will be up for grabs at the Qualifying Tournaments and those who advance will line up for the draw alongside the five nations who have already secured their respective tickets to the big show in Berlin. These include Germany as hosts, as well as 2025 Continental Cup winners Nigeria, USA, Australia and Belgium.
The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Draw will also come less than a week after another celebration of women's basketball in the shape of EuroLeague Women Final Six in Zaragoza. A club competition that continues to underline the growth and popularity of women's hoops. Meanwhile, the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 enshrinement ceremony will honor some truly iconic basketball figures. The Class of 2026, who have all left an incredible positive mark on the international game, will be revealed by FIBA on December 21, fittingly on World Basketball Day.
Both the enshrinement ceremony and draw will take place at Kraftwerk Berlin. A former power plant that has been renovated and restored to host events, the choice of location reflects the urban culture of the famous city. For more on the FIBA Hall of Fame, click here. FIBA
