Türkiye vs Sweden - 11:00 CET

Alperen Sengun is having the tournament of a lifetime so far

We open the knockout stages with a team that has clearly established itself as one of the favorites. Türkiye is still unbeaten as they came out on top of the Group A ahead of Serbia. Their title intentions are being led by Alperen Sengun, who's having the tournament of a lifetime. However, Sweden also have plans of their own as they came out of Group B in fourth place, beating only Great Britain. Türkiye are heavy favorites here, but Sweden are sure to look for an upset.

    Did you know?

    • Türkiye have won all of their five games at FIBA EuroBasket 2025 - their second longest winning streak after seven straight in 1957.

    • Sweden will feature in the EuroBasket Round of 16 for the first time and are having a tough matchup as they have lost their last three games against Türkiye.

    • Alperen Sengun has had four games with at least 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the Group Phase, the tournament high in that regard.

Germany vs Portugal - 14:15 CET

Germany have so far met little resistance at the EuroBasket

Germany are also still unbeaten, winning all five of their Group B encounters by a big margin. The reigning world champs are looking to add the European title to that as well and they've been unmatched so far, leading all teams in points per game. How can Portugal fare against that? We don't know, but you can be sure Portugal are comfortable in the underdog position from which they advanced into the Round of 16 with two wins on the record.

    Did you know?

    • Germany averaged 105.8 PPG in the Group Phase, the second-most for a team in that stage at the EuroBasket. Only Soviet Union averaged more with 107.4 in 1985.

    • Portugal have won two of their five games at the EuroBasket 2025. They have won more in a single edition only once, in 1951 when they tallied three victories.

    • Neemias Queta is averaging 15 PPG at the EuroBasket 2025, the most ever by a Portugal player at a single EuroBasket event.

Lithuania vs Latvia - 17:30 CET

Can Lithuania down the hosts and earn neighbors' bragging rights?

Early in the Final Phase, we have one big derby already. A Baltic showdown between Lithuania and Latvia does not only bring the ticket to the Quarter-Finals, but also the bragging rights between neighbors. Latvia have started slow, but picked things up with back-to-back victories in which they also managed to calibrate their shooting. On the other hand, Lithuania lost only to Germany and are seen as one of the dark horses, but it'll be a hard task for them without Rokas Jokubaitis who's out for tournament due to a knee injury.

    Did you know?

    • Lithuania have won four of their five games against Latvia at the EuroBasket. However, their sole defeat came the last time they faced in an elimination game in 2021.

    • Lithuania are the best rebounding team at the EuroBasket 2025 with 41.8 per game, while Latvia are second to last among the teams still in contention with 34.2.

    • Kristaps Porzingis has made 80 percent of his two-point FG at EuroBasket 2025, the best accuracy among the players with 20+ two-pointers attempted.

Serbia vs Finland - 20:45 CET

Jokic and Serbia look for the title - even after losing to Türkiye

Serbia did not expect to find themselves in this part of the bracket, but a narrow loss to Türkiye saw them drop to second place in Group A. Now, they have to go through Finland and a red-hot Lauri Markkanen. The Finnisher is trailing only Luka Doncic in total points scored at the event so far and is looking to continue on that note, but Serbia and Nikola Jokic are on their quest for the title and are looking to go through anyone, even without captain Bogdan Bogdanovic.

    Did you know?

    • Serbia have won their previous two games against Finland at the EuroBasket, including a Round of 16 clash in 2015 when it finished 94-81.

    • Serbia's stellar defense has conceded only 13.8 two-point field goals per game at the EuroBasket 2025, less than any other team.

    • Lauri Markkanen scored 43 points in the Round of 16 in 2022 against Croatia, the best total for a player in that stage since it was introduced at the EuroBasket 2015.
