IOANNINA (Greece) - Iceland's Berglind Hlynsdottir managed to come away with MVP honors, despite heartbreak in the Tournament 3 Final of the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket 2026, Division B.
Hlynsdottir averaged a jaw-dropping 32.2 points to lead the tournament, along with 8.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.7 blocks per game in four games.
She mustered 30-point games in all four games, but fell short in the Final against the hosts, Greece, despite putting up 34 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks.
Her standout performance came in the Semi-Final win over Denmark, where she went for 31 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals and 4 blocks.
