    At the conclusion of every competition, one standout player earns the tournament's highest individual honor: the Most Valuable Player award.

    So, what happened to the most recent winners?

    Here's a look at the last five winners , how they performed at FIBA U18 EuroBasket, Division B, and what they have down since.

    2025: Noah Norgaard (DEN)

    Noah Norgaard carried Denmark to Division A

    Then: Norgaard really took off in the knockout stage of the tournament and finished the event with 30 points in the Final as Denmark beat Estonia to win the U18 EuroBasket Division B for the first time. Norgaard averaged 18.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals in being named MVP.

    Now: Norgaard had played at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2023, Division B and then could not keep Denmark from being relegated at the U18 EuroBasket in 2024. He started playing club basketball in Spain in 2022 and after two seasons in the Tenerife's youth system, he moved to the USA last summer and played 2025-26 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

    2024: Nikola Janichikj (MKD)

    Nikola Janichikj led North Macedonia back to Division A

    Then: Janichikj led the tournament in scoring with 22.6 points while also picking up 5.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists as North Macedonia took the title.

    Now: Janichikj played at two FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division A tournaments and was with North Macedonia's U18 team in 2023 as well. He spent 2024-25 in the United States at a college prep institution last summer he played at the U18 EuroBasket Division A, but the country suffered relegation back to Division B. This past season, Janichikj played for Partizan Vodno Sans Skopje in the North Macedonia top flight.

    2023: Roberts Blums (LAT)

    Roberts Blums shined as Latvia returned to Division A

    Then: Latvia finally returned to Division A after being relegated in 2019 thanks to Blums' outstanding performance, averaging 20.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

    Now: After playing the 2022-23 season with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne in France, Blums played for VEF Riga in 2023-24, appearing also in the Basketball Champions League. The guard, who has yet to play for Latvia's senior national team, moved to the United States in 2024 and has played the past two seasons for Davidson College.

    2022: Elliot Cadeau (SWE)

    Elliot Cadeau could not be stopped by opponents

    Then: Cadeau helped Sweden take the 2022 crown to end their long wait to return to Division A for the first time since 2016. Cadeau dominated the competition with 21.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

    Now: Cadeau, who was born in the United States, played two seasons at the University of North Carolina before moving to the University of Michigan and helping the Wolverines to the NCAA title in 2026. He debuted with the Swedish senior national team at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers in the February 2023 window.

    2019: Noam Dovrat (ISR)

    Then: Israel had spent the last two summers at the Division B of the U18 level, but Dovrat made sure the country was back among the best in the continent. He collected 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists to lead the Israelis to the crown.

    Now: Dovrat helped Israel to the Semi-Finals of the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2022 and debuted in the Israeli senior national team for the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers and also played in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers and EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. The guard moved from Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion to Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem in 2021 and played two seasons in the Basketball Champions League. In 2025, he signed with Maccabi Urban Ramat Gan and then played this past season at the University of Miami.
